The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ali Modu Sheriff, on Thursday presented the flag of his party to Ademola, a younger brother of the late Isiaka Adeleke who represented Osun West Senatorial District in the 8th Assembly.
The presentation of the flag took place at the PDP national secretariat in Abuja.
After the death of Isiaka, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) fixed a bye-election for July 8, and Ademola emerged as the PDP candidate after abadndoning the All Progessive Congress (APC)
After the excercise, Ademola told reporters he left APC due to injustice in the screening process for the primary.
Ademola described APC as a party of liars, claiming that he won the party’s “first and second screening of aspirants for the election,” but was denied.
He also said most political parties, including the Accord and Labour, and people of the state, were in support of him.
